Port Stanley Child Missing

Strong swimmers are desperately needed to assist with search and rescue operations at Main Beach in Port Stanley. OPP and Central Elgin Fire were called to the beach at 2:30 p.m. after a 14-year-old fell into the sea and did not come up.

The beach was marked with a yellow flag when the youngster entered the water, but it was later changed to a red flag when lifeguards had to leave their station to assist with the search.

The kid has been absent for several hours. Human chains are forming to aid with the water search. Volunteers, lifeguards, and the rescue crew worked together to locate the missing child.

Preliminary reports state that after experiencing yet another family bereavement, the teen’s father, mother and a sibling relocated from Turkey to Canada less than a year ago.

The teen’s father waited on the shore as his mother, who had been in difficulty, was transported to St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital.

“We’ll keep searching for the youngster until we find him.”

Please offer your prayers for his family, as they are deeply hurt by this occurrence.
