Melbourne, FL: Wednesday morning, June 26, the Pentagon Gardens apartments in Melbourne, Florida, at Babcock St. and Strawbridge Ave., next to US 192, are well guarded by law enforcement. A number of gunshots were heard, and in a previously unreleased footage, onlookers could be seen scurrying around in search of cover.

Melbourne Police have neutralized the gunman. The offender is down, according to the chief of police in Melbourne, after firing multiple shots at officers.
Officers on the scene report that the suspect is in custody at this time. The public is not in any danger. The suspect fired several shots at the officers, who then returned fire and shot the guy many times.
