Ava Phillips, a cheerleader at Angleton High School in Angleton, Texas, 17, has gone missing. Yesterday morning, Tuesday, September 3, she disappeared from school and never came back.
Ava disappeared from Angleton High School at around ten in the morning. Later on, her car and everything inside it, including her phone and keys, were discovered in the school parking lot.
According to Ava’s mother Kailey Perez, her daughter had been attempting to keep her distance from a boy who had abused her emotionally. Though he hasn’t helped the family or the police, Kailey thinks the youngster might know where Ava is right now.
“She’s a beautiful, sweet girl who would never run away,” Kailey said.

Ava is 5 feet 3 inches tall with brown eyes, long hair with blonde highlights, and noticeable dimples. When last spotted, she was donning a gray crop top and black trousers.
The public’s assistance is desperately needed by the authorities to find Ava. She did not show up for her fourth-period class Tuesday morning, when she was last spotted leaving for school at six a.m. About ten in the morning, witnesses said they saw her get into a white Toyota Corolla.
Though Kailey and Ava have only had sporadic communication, Kailey is extremely worried about her daughter’s safety.
“She called me from a blocked number. She sounded scared, and I don’t think she’s in control,” Kailey explained. “She told me she’d come home, but she hasn’t. I just want her home safely. She sounds very scared. Her voice is very shaky. I don’t think that she’s in control. I think someone’s telling her what to say.”
