Baylee Holbrook Palatka FL: On Tuesday, September 26, 16-year-old Baylee Holbrook, a former Palatka High School student, was struck by lightning as she sat in a blind with her father, Matthew Holbrook.
Gaineville, Florida’s Gaineville, is home to a number of neighborhoods, including Duckpond, Turkey Creek Forest, Highland Court Manor, and more. Baylee is presently struggling for her life there at Shands.
According to Sheena Bass on a social platform “I just woke up and was hoping last night was a nightmare, but it wasn’t. Yesterday evening Matthew Holbrook and daughter Baylee Holbrook were sitting in a hunting blind when they were stuck by lightening. Baylee is currently fighting for her life at Shands in Gaineville. I had two watch two of my best friends go through one of the hardest things, that no parent are ever prepared for.
But last night I also saw love. So many so many people showed up at that hospital for Baylee. And it just goes to show you, the impact that this 16 year old has made in our community. We also brought the church to Shands. We prayed a lot and even had a time of worship thanks to Summer and James.”
Baylee increases the lighting wherever she goes. In addition to being sincere, she also preaches the gospel to everyone she meets. She is the kind, generous girl that has a soft spot in her heart for Jesus.
The youth group significantly increased in size as a result of her invitations to her friends to church. On Sunday mornings, she is among the first to make her way to the altar call to pray for any of her friends.
