X Factor star Ben Thapa has passed away at the age of 42 on Monday, September 9, 2024.
According to Steven Swales Artists post on X, stated: “We are hugely sad to announce the sudden death of Ben Thapa. It was a huge privilege to know and work with him. Ben was well known for oratorio, opera, and as a member of the vocal group G4. We send our thoughts to his family, friends, and colleagues.”
Lee Hood on X is also “Saddened to hear of the passing of Ben Thapa who was in G4 and performed on The X Factor this is heartbreaking news sending condolences to his family and friends”
Ben was a Choral Scholar at the Cathedral in the early 2000s and returned as a tenor Lay Clerk in 2019-22.
His cause of death has yet to be revealed; further information will be released as it becomes available.
