Three guys were shot and killed on Friday night, August 31, 2024, at a Bessemer Citgo gas station. Suspects are being sought.
According to Bessemer Detective Justin Burmeister, at least two of the victims were shot together by someone inside a car.
The shooting at the Citgo gas station on 4th Ave North in Bessemer occurred at approximately 11:45 p.m. According to Burmeister, it began outdoors in the parking lot and proceeded inside the store.
“We believe there is more than one shooter,’’ he said.
It seemed that the gunmen exited their vehicle and continued to shoot as they pursued the victims inside the business.
At the site, all three males were declared deceased.
The victims’ identities have not been disclosed, and no arrests have been made as of yet.
“Bessemer is turning into a shooting gallery.” a resident in the area where the shooting happened said.
