Bruce Millar Cause Of Death: We regret to inform you of the passing at the age of 77 of actor, radio producer, and vocalist Bruce Millar. Springbok Radio will always remember Bruce from his many playing performances. Mr. Pybus, Tales of Antiquity, his role as Pip in Best Sellers: Great Expectations, and his performance as Al Capone in Kenneth Hendel’s Springbok 930 Dossier: Mr. Scarface & Co.

In addition, he is most known for playing the title role in Martin James, Royal Navy, a television series that aired on Springbok in the 1970s.

He was a broadcaster and actor of great talent. You may recall him from Cox and Box with Eddie Rademeyer and from a presentation of Macbeth in the school quad. In a touring performance of Joseph and the Amazing Techicolor Dreamcoat from South Africa, he was amazing.

He was the greatest, truly. You watched Joseph in the production of “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” repeatedly. After seeing him portray Hal in “Henry IV,” everyone fell in love with Shakespeare. He was Johnny Casino in Brickhill-Burke’s production of “Grease.” The Colosseum Theatre and His Majesty’s Theatre would be packed with thousands of adolescents eager to see Bruce Millar play, just as thousands of them had been waiting to see the band Rabbit perform live.

My sincere condolences go out to Liane, Matt, Natasha, and everyone else who was close to Bruce Millar. As they get through this trying period, remember and pray for his family.
