David Bouley Obituary – Death: The legendary David Bouley went suddenly following a heart attack at the age of 70. a legendary chef and a great mentor to many. He was a wonderful culinary instructor, an icon, and a trailblazer. A multi-talented man with a charming grin, he was loved and admired by everyone in his vicinity.

He was the chef in New York who was the first to adapt French nouvelle cuisine into the New American style that became the standard for contemporary upscale cookery.

“The world has lost a culinary legend, and Ray has lost a lifelong friend. How lucky we were to have David Bouley come to the farm to share his magic. Rest in peace David, you will be missed immeasurably.”

Any Korin employee who had ever had the pleasure of working with him, dating back before Bouley Restaurant in Tribeca began, loved him for his warmth.

For Saori, the owner of Korin, Chef Bouley was more than just a client. He used to always message Saori, saying, “Hey, sister! How are you doing? to eat supper, take her to see his amazing pals, and engage in ceaseless discussion about fresh concepts.

Additionally, Chef Bouley prepared the rehearsal dinner for Saori’s daughter’s wedding. He was a trailblazer and a key supporter of nutritious Japanese ingredients. Everybody at Korin is devastated. They will always hold Chef Bouley in high regard and be inspired to be the wonderfully creative person he was.

Legendary chef David Bouley helped to shape New York City dining culture in the 1990s and beyond. cook and artist. He will be sorely missed.
