James Kottak Dies

James Kottak Death – Passed Away: After a brief illness, James Kottak, 61, of the Kingdom Come Scorpions, was a father, drummer, musician, singer, and songwriter for Montrose MSG. On Tuesday, January 9, 2024, James, a native of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away.

Though he wasn’t always the easiest man on the planet, he gave his fans and loved ones some very priceless experiences.

“So sad to hear of James’ passing, he was a legendary drummer, and it was a pleasure to be with him every night ,as we had the pleasure to tour with the Scorpions back in the days .whether on stage or off for anthology parties, James was always a funny guy but always professional ….. my thoughts are with his family , his fans and all the scorpions fans who must be sad tonight . RIP James Kottak”

“This one hurts. I will forever remember our great conversation about whether to sell or keep the Collection intact. James was the only artist who ever encouraged me to sell the CDs he autographed. I will not do so. I will miss him and cherish the time I got to spend with him.”

Who Is James Kottak

James was born in Louisville, Kentucky, in 1962. He worked at Rock & Roll and Batería/Percusión (Músico) and attended Durrett High School.

James is a good-hearted and kind person. His contagious smile welcomes everyone, bringing joy to everyone in his path. He has always jumped at the chance to assist those in need. His loss is felt by everybody, and his memory will always be a part of them.
