Eastern Parkway Parade Shooting

Shots were fired at approximately 2:30 p.m. on Monday, September 2, at the West Indian Parade in Crown Heights, injuring four individuals, according to the police. The public has been asked by the authorities to keep a lookout for the suspect.

The suspect is a male with a thin frame that stands between 6’2″ and 6’3″. who ran westbound on the Eastern Parkway toward Classon Avenue while wearing a brown shirt and a back bandana, according to the police.

It was unclear at first how the four victims were doing. To cover this weekend’s J’Ouvert festival and West Indian Day Parade—which was marred by violence last year and has happened again this year—the NYPD sent out a fleet of drones, strategically positioned surveillance cameras, and a large number of deployment officers.

The victims’ genders, injuries, and suspects remain unidentified.

X Reaction to the Shooting:

The NYPD is still looking into what caused the shooting, therefore not many specifics have been made public as of yet.
