Who Is Eric Carmen

Eric Carmen is a 1949-born power pop legend from Cleveland who graduated from Charles F. Brush High School. His solo career was more successful because to singles like “Hungry Eyes” from the movie Dirty Dancing and “All by Myself,” which Celine Dion helped make even more popular.

The rock genre known as power pop got its start with the formation of The Raspberries in Cleveland, Ohio. The band had Wally Bryson on guitar, Dave Smalley on guitar, Jim Bonfanti on bass, and Eric Carmen on vocals, guitar, bass, and piano, making up the “classic” lineup.

In 1975, Eric departed to pursue his prosperous solo career; however, in 2004, the original members reunited upon being invited to open for Cleveland’s House of Blues. The House was packed with fans who had been waiting years for this band to return, even though they hadn’t performed together in decades.

He made a fantastic leader. “It brought him great joy to know that his music touched so many people for decades and be his lasting legacy,” his family members said. No matter how briefly he interacted with someone, he consistently made a good impression.

The family kindly requests that their privacy be honored while they deal with their tragic loss.
