Vladimir Bure

Mr. Vladimir Bure, father of Valeri and Pavel Bure, has gone away. In addition, the New Jersey Devils are mourning the passing of Vladimir Bure, who was a vital member of their team from 1999 to 2010. He was a pioneer in athlete training and a key player in the team’s Stanley Cup triumphs.

At the age of 73, Vladimir Bure passed away in Miami on Tuesday, September 3.

We are unable to determine if the heart attack he suffered while swimming in the ocean a few weeks ago was the cause of his death.

Upon learning of his passing, the Devils organization posted a word of condolence on X, expressing their sadness.

He was a conditioning coach with the Devils in 2000 and 2003 when they won the Stanley Cup. Valeri Bure, the other son of Vladimir, spent ten seasons as an NHL player, mostly with the Calgary Flames and Montreal Canadiens.

After winning an Olympic medal in swimming, he spent thirty years as a trailblazer in the field of athlete training. In addition to having his name inscribed on the Stanley Cup in 2000 and 2003, he worked as a fitness consultant for New Jersey from 1999 until 2010.

Right now, our thoughts are with his family and friends. He will be sorely missed.
