“There’s been a shooting in Fawkner in Lorne Street!!!” Facebook posts by Matt Palmer were made ten hours ago. Witnesses in the vicinity initially revealed the gunshot at 2:28 p.m. on Thursday, February 29, 2024.
On February 29, a guy self-presented to a Melbourne hospital with what seemed to be a gunshot wound; police are now conducting an investigation.
According to police, the individual was allegedly attacked on Lorne Street in Fawkner at approximately six o’clock in the evening by a throng of cars.
The group reportedly left their car on Sydney Road and fled on foot, according to officers.
The man’s injuries are not life-threatening, and he is still in the hospital.
The inquiry is still being conducted.
