UPDATE: Zachary Demoss, a missing biker from Montana, has been located safe in Idaho.

Zachary Demoss, a 24-year-old Missoula, Montana resident who had gone missing on August 11, 2024, was discovered alive following several days of intense search operations. After receiving an SOS call from a Garmin inReach device, the Idaho County Sheriff’s Office located Demoss on August 16, 2024, with the help of other agencies.

Zachary Demoss, an Idaho County Sheriff’s Office missing person from Missoula who was last seen on August 11, has been found, the department announced on Friday. Demoss was discovered “alive but was in bad shape” at the Lost Creek Campground. Life Flight transported him to St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula.
