Rialto School Shooting: We learned about a gunshot at Jehue Middle School at around 11:27 p.m. on Friday morning, March 1. Police and helicopters were observed in the vicinity conducting the ongoing investigation. An eyewitness reported that there was an active shooter on the school grounds.
Following this event, parents are rushing across the street with their cell phones in hand to pick up their children. No casualties have been reported as far as we are aware.
According to Lucy Verduzco on Facebook: “Omg as I was driving , something happened at jehue middle school, cops, helicopters, parents running for their kids, someone said Active Shooter, Please pray for the children”
The administration of Jehue Middle School and the safety officers of the Rialto Unified School District work together with the Colton Police Department to guarantee the safety of the campus.
If you attend Jehue Middle School, please follow instructions to facilitate the police officers’ investigation into the gunshot event. They are already on the scene.
