Soprano Jodie Devos’ died of breast cancer, at the age of 35. Please remember her colleagues, friends, and family in your prayers. She was a stunning artist, full of life and vibrancy in both music and presence. Jodie had been courageously battling cancer for a few months. With enormous resolve, she took the stage again at the Théâtre des Champs Élysées on April 30, but her health quickly deteriorated.

For everyone, Jodie’s passing was a huge surprise. Jodie was at her most best when she was just 35 years old. She frequently brought her incredible talent and exquisite performances to Bozar. She was a delightful young performer possessing immense talent, a flawless voice, and exceptional acting skills.
The public, her coworkers, and the music industry as a whole all adored her.
Jodie was so talented that she took home numerous honors. A lot of reviewers picked the well-known “Offenbach Colorature” Record of the Year 2019, and it won all the prizes from the worldwide press.
Not to be overlooked is the exquisite piano performance “And Love Said…”, which paints a personal picture of Jodie and follows her journey from her native Belgium to England, where she pursued her education, and finally, France, where she made her home. Along with her amazing talent and goodwill, friends and musicians enthusiastically participated in numerous other recordings with her.
