John Cassaday, the Eisner Award-winning artist, has passed away, shocking friends and fans. Friends and relatives are in shock over the death of the 52-year-old member of the Directors Guild of America and the Society of Illustrators. He was an incredible artist who seemed really courteous and respectful of my profession as a nurse.

The cause of his death is still unknown.
John produced work that was stunning, superb, and exceptional.
He is regarded as one of the most significant comic book artists of the last 25 years, thanks to his several Eisner Award victories, his work on the fanciful Planetary, one of the best series ever written, and his contentious but significant run on Astonishing X-Men.
