Karanji Reese

Man surrenders following gunfire at Buckhead Club, which left two people dead and four injured.

Karanji Reese, age 21, reportedly turned himself in on Wednesday, according to Atlanta Police. He faces charges of murder, aggravated assault, and carrying a weapon while committing a crime. It also seems that he is facing charges related to a March pursuit.

Reese is being held without bond at the Fulton County Jail.

Karanji shot and killed Mariam “Mari” Creighton, 21, and Nakyris Ridley, 20, during the Mother’s Day shooting at Elleven4 Lounge.

According to police, the other victims were merely bystanders, and Ridley was the intended target.

Despite their wounds, the remaining four victims lived. Their true identities are still unknown.

Following the fatal shooting at Buckhead’s Elleven45 Lounge last month, additional legal action is being considered.

The parents of 21-year-old Mariam “Mari” Creighton have filed a lawsuit against the lounge, claiming they are to blame for their daughter’s passing, and are seeking damages for her passing.

They claimed that this is the first step in obtaining justice and closure for Mari.
