Kenwood High School Lockdown: Following reports of gunfire within the school, Kenwood High School in Baltimore County was placed under “brief lockdown” on Friday morning, December 1, 2023, while police conducted an internal investigation.
According to Rebecca Jones on Facebook:
“Anyone know what’s going on at Kenwood high school? My daughter texted me they are locked down locked in classrooms with swat team and helicopters and cop cars everywhere please pray for everyone’s safety”
The Kenwood High School site is still staffed by police. They are carrying out the current inquiry. After the shooting happened, a lot of parents picked up their children. To the best of our knowledge, every student is secure.
As soon as the word reached school officials, the school was placed on lockdown. All students were instructed to head to the closest classroom and remain there until the lockdown was removed.
After the arrest, search dogs were sent in to make sure everything was in order.
Only after the suspect who was inside the school was taken into custody was the lockdown removed.
