Shooting In Downtown

Following a shooting at Klamath Union High School, a public school in Klamath Falls close to Modoc Field, which left a parent attending a kids soccer camp shot and injured, there is currently an ongoing hunt for a suspect in the area. For medical attention, the victim was taken to the hospital.

Tuesday, July 30, in the afternoon, saw the shooting.

In an effort to learn the true facts about what precipitated the shooting, the Klamath Falls Police Department is actively investigating.

KFPD reports, “At this time, the suspect is not in custody, and we have reason to believe there is no threat to the public. Due to this being an ongoing investigation, we have no further information to release to the public at this time.”

On campus, all employees and students were put under lockdown. As of right now, there are no staff or student injuries to report.
