Josh Maravich Death

Josh Maravich, a former Louisiana State University basketball player, died Friday morning, June 7, at the age of 42. He was one of two sons of Pistol Pete Maravich, a legendary LSU basketball and NBA player.

Josh Maravich Josh played four seasons for the LSU men’s basketball team, from 2001 to 2005, under head coach John Brady.

He returned to campus in 2022 for the unveiling of the statue honoring his late father. Maravich knew he wanted to attend LSU all along.

Sincere condolences to the Maravich family and everyone who knew and loved Josh.

If you knew Josh, you’d know he was a player who radiated kindness, warmth, and genuine concern for everyone he met. Josh was a source of joy for everyone he cared about. This loss is immeasurable to his community and the entire Louisiana State University basketball team.

There aren’t enough words to describe how much he meant to everyone he knew; he changed and touched the hearts and lives of so many people in his community and family. He gave freely and loved passionately, leaving a legacy and a light that will never dim.

No additional information has been revealed; the cause of Josh Maravich’s death is unknown. We are still working on determining more details because this information is still new.
