Lydia Ross Car Accident

Lydia Ross Ballymoney Death: A single car road traffic incident at Aghadowey resulted in the death of a woman, as verified by the Northern Ireland Police Service. Yesterday evening, Thursday 28th December, at around 10.15 p.m., a blue Peugeot 207 was involved in an accident that left Lydia Ross, 21, of Ballymoney, with significant injuries.

Her injuries caused her death, even though she was brought to the hospital for treatment.

Paul and Ruth of Knockans Park, Finvoy, Ballymoney, are the loving parents of Lydia, who is also a very special niece, the sister of Hannah and Mollie, Alex’s sister-in-law, Martha’s grandchild, and the late Archie, Joyce, and Tommy (Matthews).

“Enquiries are ongoing. Anyone with information, including dash-cam, CCTV, or other footage, is asked to contact Police on 101, quoting reference number 1887 of 28/12/23,” a Metropolitan Police spokeswoman stated.

Tomorrow, Ballymena United players will honor Lydia Ross and Lynden Campbell (née Garrett) by donning black armbands.

A minute of fan applauding has been proposed for when the match clock hits 21.

Though our thoughts and prayers will be with Lydia’s family and friends during these trying days, words cannot relieve their suffering.
