The Round Rock police department has identified a cherished member of the Austin Honey Badger community, Lyndsey Vicknair, as a victim of the June 15 mass shooting in Old Settlers Park. Lyndsey was a devoted daughter, wife, and mother of three children, ages seven, four, and one.
The needless violence happened on June 15, 2024, during the Juneteenth Celebration at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock, Texas, following an altercation between a group of people.
Who Is Lyndsey Vicknair
Her infectious smile, thoughtfulness, and unwavering commitment to help others were hallmarks of Lyndsey’s life. Everyone who knew her feels a great loss in her absence.
She leaves behind her husband, Kevin Vicknair, and their three young children, Kairo (4), Kya (1), and Kenzi (7), who Coach Cooper lovingly refers to as “Shoestrings”.
Her family and children are doing the best they can to get through this difficult period, looking for understanding and serenity.
