Matthew Anfeldt Death: The Thurston County Sheriff has announced that the remains of Matthew Anfeldt, who went missing, have been located.

A hunter discovered Matthew’s remains in the Ground Mound area on Saturday, October 28. After a fingerprint, dental, and DNA study of the remains was performed, it was determined that those were Matthew’s remains.

In the Grand Mound area, Matthew vanished from sight in February 2019. When he was reported missing, he was last seen near Grand Mound and Tenino, in the 19200 block of Old Highway 99.

A buddy has told me that officials have informed his family of the awful news. As they go through this difficult time, kindly remember them in your prayers and thoughts.

“Praying for some sort of closure & answers… I’m hoping whoever said that he was “in the woods” is found & spoken to. The answers are there. This is such a sad & unfair case. So unnecessary. His entire life was ahead of him. Prayers for his family & friends. Sincerely from Eastern Wa. I’m so sorry for this loss & pain. Next- prayers for justice. “

Since the inquiry is still underway, no additional information has been made public as of yet.
