The renowned stage and screen actor Sir Michael Gambon, best known for playing Albus Dumbledore in the Harry Potter series, has died.

Cause Of Death

At the age of 82, Sir Michael passed away on Thursday from pneumonia.

Biography

The Dublin-born actor appeared in various theatrical productions in addition to six Harry Potter films as Professor Albus Dumbledore, The Singing Detective.

He told the tale of his National Theatre Company audition before Laurence Olivier in 1981.

Each and every person whose childhoods he brightened with his masterful portrayal of Albus Dumbledore will always hold a special place in their hearts and memories for Michael Gambon.
