On Saturday, July 13, 2024, the Fremont Police Department released an update regarding Ellie Lorenzo, the 3-year-old child who went missing from the Casa Arroyo Apartments on Racho Arroyo Parkway in Fremont. The news left her family and friends devastated, as it was revealed that she had passed away.
The San Jose Police Department reportedly notified the Fremont Police Department about Ellie’s remains at a location in San Jose.
Ellie vanished on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at approximately 6:00 p.m. Her biological mother filed a missing person’s report for her. The mother informed us that the child’s biological father was discovered dead in a nearby city, and we do not currently know where the child is. The mother stated that the child was meant to be returned in accordance with a custody agreement.
We are working with multiple agencies to conduct an ongoing investigation into this unfortunate tragedy, and we kindly request your patience while we do so. Until the deceased has been positively confirmed, no more details will be made public.
