The Barrett family reports that Lauren, a dear friend, sister, and daughter who vanished in Marion, has been found and is currently in a safe place. The information that has been made public is that on Saturday, August 31, 2024, she was reported missing and discovered in Marion.
She is back home, and her family is thrilled about it and grateful to everyone who helped in the hunt for her.
According to earlier accounts, Lauren left the campus on Thursday night a little after 11:00 p.m. from Marion to go home to Liberty Mills. Around 1:00 a.m., she reportedly turned around and returned to Marion.
She never returned to her college at that point or to her home in Liberty.
She always lets her family know when she’s heading out and when she gets there by phone or text. The family was caught off guard when she didn’t text or phone, and no one knew where she was. At that point, they had to quickly ask for assistance from the public.
With her, she was declared missing. License plate number ACB536 for a 1997 Pontiac Transport Montana van with a gray bottom and a red top.
The local police were alerted at the scene, and they worked rapidly to locate her.
