William Lowery Sheridan WY Shooting: Near the intersection of 5th Street and Val Vista Street, Sgt. Nevada Krinkee, a six and a half-year department veteran, was shot and murdered while attempting to serve a trespass warning on a male subject. After being taken to Sheridan Memorial Hospital, Sgt. Krinkee passed away from his wounds.
Who Is William Lowery
William Lowery, a 46-year-old male suspect from Sheridan, left the scene and was found shortly after near 6th and N. Sheridan Avenue. After establishing a perimeter, representatives from the Wyoming Highway Patrol, Sheridan Police Department, and Sheridan County Sheriff’s Office discovered the person was trapped inside a house.
A few other nearby residents were also evacuated from the region. When Crisis Negotiators and members of the Gillette Police Department tactical squad arrived to help, a standoff happened. Right now, the scene is still in motion.
The Wyoming Division of Criminal inquiry will now be in charge of the inquiry. The DCI Public Information Officer will have further details about this sad incident accessible.
