At approximately 3:12 p.m. on Tuesday, September 17, the Niagara Regional Police Service posted a notice on Facebook informing the public of a male who has gone missing near the lake.
It is reported that Darren Werner, a resident of Niagara-on-the-Lake, is the missing male. The search for him is still ongoing by the Niagara Regional Police Service.
On September 17, 2021, Darren Werner was reported missing; his present location is still unknown.
This is still an ongoing inquiry into a missing person with questionable circumstances.
The case is still being handled by the Niagara Regional Police Service Homicide Unit, and police are requesting that anybody with information on Darren Werner’s disappearance get in touch with them by calling (905) 688-4111, option 3, extension 1009451.
