Peter Morgan also known as Peetah Morgan has died. The lead singer of Grammy-award-winning reggae band Morgan Heritage, passed away on Sunday, 25 February. The sad news was made pubic on the Morgan Heritage’s social media page.

A family statement claimed that Peetah passed away as a result of consequences from a severe stroke.
Originally hailing from Jamaica, Morgan Heritage is a highly renowned and adored band throughout Belize.
The Grammy Award winning-group, known for songs such as Don’t Haffi Dread (To Be Rasta), Down by the River and She’s Still Loving Me, issued the following statement “It is out of sincere love that we share that our beloved husband, father, son, and brother and lead singer of Morgan Heritage Peter Anthony Morgan has ascended today February 25th, 2024.”
The family is asking for everyone’s continuous prayers as they go through this process and is thanking the public in advance for their tremendous love and support. Additionally, they beg that you respect their right to privacy as they recover.
The fans, friends, and family of Peter, the Grammy Award-winning roots rock reggae band Morgan Heritage, will truly miss the great lead singer.
