Suspect Shot and Killed: The Pasco News on a social platform made it public at approximately 12:25 p.m. on Friday, October 27, that deputies from the Pasco Sheriff’s Office are investigating a shooting that occurred Friday afternoon in the Port Richey area along Hickory Hill Drive.
According to deputies, three suspects were attempting to break into a house today about 2:10 p.m. when someone inside fired rounds at the invaders.
One of the invader suspects was hit by gunshots and died as a result of his injuries. The rounds also hit another suspect, who fled to a nearby hospital and is being held by police. In conjunction with this incident, the Pasco Sheriff’s Office conducted a brief search and detained another suspect.
A handful of institutions’ campus classifications were altered to controlled due to great caution. Fox Hollow Elementary, Jazz Dayspring Academy, and Schrader Elementary are all on controlled campus status while the investigation is ongoing.
