Passed Away – Radcliffe Bailey Cause Of Death: Last night, Tuesday, November 14, Radcliffe Bailey, a legendary modern artist who is currently living in Atlanta is dead. He died in his sleep at the age of 55. The news that Radcliffe Bailey passed away got to our notice at approximately 10:56 a.m. on Wednesday, November 15. We are still trying to learn more on his passing, the family are yet to release a clear statement concerning his departure.
Who Is Radcliffe Bailey
Radcliffe was a titan in his generation. Atlantans are so proud of him because he represented them to the world and his very presence reminded all that he was one of them. His art has a soul that comes from another time and place.
He had nothing but kind words and love to share all the time. His work is immortalized in the finest museums across the world. He is a true artist that will never be forgotten or duplicated. But most importantly, he is one of the kindest and most beautifully spirited cats one would ever know.

My dear Radcliffe Bailey. You were a joy in my life. I knew the moment I shook your hand at The Neon Company my life became richer.

The news of his passing immediately drew the Hammonds House Museum to the catalog for his 2007 joint exhibition Pitching, with Alejandro Aguilera at the Visual Arts Gallery at Emory University.
For 35 years, Hammonds House’s walls have featured numerous pieces of Radcliffe’s art. His protégé Abiose Spriggs, his good friend Kevin Sipp, and mentor Ed Spriggs are the curators of the Foundations and Futures show, which features his 1992 piece Places of Rebirth from the Hammonds House Collection.
There will undoubtedly be a ton of articles and essays written about Radcliffe’s accomplishments and significance in the art world in the days and weeks to come.
