Robin McLeod Obituary: Dr. Robin McLeod, president of the Society for the Surgery of the Alimentary Tract (SSAT), has died. On Tuesday, February 6, at around 1:38 p.m., Dr. Carl J. Brown, a Provincial Lead, Surg Onc, BC Cancer Chair, and Clin Professor of CR Surgery at UBC Medicine, announced to the public that Robin McLeod passed away.

As a pioneer and leader in surgery, Robin elevated her society to unprecedented heights. In addition, she was a trailblazer in the field of evidence-based surgery and the Vice-President of Clinical Programs & Quality Initiatives at Cancer Care Ontario.

Robin McLeod Cause Of Death

As additional information becomes available, the cause of her death has not yet been disclosed.

The unfortunate news was received with sadness by the Surgery of the Alimentary Tract (SSAT). SSAT is dedicated to developing the field of surgery as a means of treating digestive disorders.

The whole SSAT community is thinking and praying for her family, as she will be much missed.
