Rushil Barri Traffic Collision

What Happened To Rushil Barri: Five Alpharetta residents, including two children, were killed in a terrible accident in Johnson County.

Only one person in the Odyssey van, Lokesh Potabathula, 26, of Alpharetta, survived the crash. Potabathula was critically injured and was brought to Harris Health Hospital in Fort Worth for treatment.

The remaining five occupants of the Odyssey, all of Alpharetta, Georgia, died as well: a 36-year-old Asian female, a 64-year-old Asian male, a 60-year-old Asian female, a 10-year-old Asian male, and a 9-year-old Asian male.

The driver of the Odyssey, 28-year-old Rushil Barri of Irving, was killed at the scene.

The news of his departure has left everyone in a state of disbelief and deep sorrow.

His family and friends are feeling this loss right alongside you. And they ask everyone to please give his family the respect and privacy they deserve during this time.

The names of the unidentified victims are being kept by Texas DPS DPS until next of kin has been notified. DPS is collaborating with George State Police to identify next of kin.
