According to a statement from a spokesperson with Walmart “The safety of our associates and customers is our top priority. We will work closely with local enforcement through the course of their investigation and refer any additional question to them” This statement was made on Friday evening, March 22, following the shooting that happened at a Walmart in Memphis.
A sizable police cordon is in place at the location.
Authorities say that a customer was shot inside the Germantown Parkway store by a former employee.
The case is now under investigation, and the police involved would appreciate it if anyone with clear information could come forward and share it with them so that any additional research may be done.
Walmart complied with all safety procedures, according to Memphis police, to ensure the safety of its workers and other patrons after the incident.
