Detectives are actively investigating to determine a motive and identify a suspect(s). According to the Prince George’s County Police Department, a reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in connection with the shooting on Thursday, June 13, 2024.

What Happened

Officers responded to the shooting at 11:38 p.m. in a shopping center parking lot in the 7000 block of Berry Road. When officers arrived, they discovered Proctor and Savoy suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were pronounced dead at the scene. The third victim had already left the scene, driving himself to the hospital for treatment.

“They just shot him for no reason.” One of the victims was paralyzed from the chest down, according to his sister.

She claims her baby brother was paralyzed and attempted to flee the shooting but was unsuccessful. Hundreds of people were there.

At the scene of the incident, loved ones are bringing flowers to place on a folding chair where the victims’ bodies were discovered.

The Prince George’s County Police Department is investigating and seeking public assistance in identifying the suspect and motive.
