Meridian, Idaho had a terrifying incident on Thursday, August 1, 2024, that has left the town in disbelief. A gunshot and a multi-car collision occurred in a spectacular series of events on the westbound on-ramp at Meridian Road, close to the well-known Roaring Springs Water Park.
Two people were critically hurt, and one person died.
The incident has temporarily halted the eastbound lanes of I-84, according to Idaho State Police. During the gunfight, no deputies or cops suffered injuries. ISP, Ada County, and Meridian Police Department units were present at the incident.
The shooting took place on August 1, 2024, a Thursday. According to police, everyone is safe.
The wounded person was taken to a trauma center in the area. The victims’ identities are still under wraps.
