Shooting Shelby, NC

In Shelby, North Carolina, the county seat of Cleveland County, a man opened fire on law officials after a multi-county automobile chase that ended on Wednesday afternoon, June 19.

The suspect drove too fast, damaged the car, fired shots at the police, and fled on foot, which is when the incident occurred near the intersection of 226 and 74. Eyewitnesses who were there when the incident occurred described the scene as awkward.

“226 and 74 is like a magnet for wrecks. When I worked at the deli at that Ingles, quite a few breaks were spent watching them clear accidents. Really, the whole 74 corridor in Cleveland county is just bad for wrecks.”

According to reports, the suspect is a young, thin white man who was dressed in an orange shirt. He is armed and dangerous, so call the police right once if you come into contact with him.

Since new information is continuously surfacing, the car’s description is currently unknown.
