A shooting was confirmed at the area of Bound Road and Stoneham Drive. Two people were hit, and currently they suffering from their injuries. According to officers, the shooting happened on Monday evening, July 1 at approximately 5:27 p.m.
At the scene of the incident there was a heavy police presence investigating the shooting.
This is the second ” shooting on the same area this year.
Residents in the area are worried and as well hoping that gun violence in Woonsocket reduces as it is getting bad day by day.
“Woonsocket is getting dangerous. Hope both victims will be OK” Gerry Gervais said.
“Woonsocket has become so much more dangerous. We don’t have enough police either”. Stephen Weber said.
While occurrences like this are uncommon on Bound Road and Stoneham Drive, we are aware that this incidence will raise alarm among locals.
The investigation is ongoing, and law enforcement officers will offer updates when new information becomes available.
