A shooting in Spanaway involving a police There was a single fatality on Tuesday morning, July 2. Officers and deputies in Pierce County report that everything is fine. The incident involved numerous agencies and occurred at the intersection of 205th St E and 5th Avenue Court East.
What Happened
According to officials, a suspect opened fire on a state trooper who was conducting an unrelated traffic check. According to officials, the suspect was carrying several guns. He shot once, and then more, drawing the attention of deputies and troopers. Deputies claim the suspect was driving a white van.
During the gunfire, bullets struck a house and a car.
