Red Sands Shooting: A man was shot numerous times by his son at Red Sands, which is located at 15600 Montana Avenue, on July 4, 2024, at approximately 11:37 p.m., following a fight between the two of them. After arriving at the location of the event, deputies from the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office and the Texas Rescue Patrol confirmed.
Arturo Navarro, 39, was found to have multiple gunshot wounds to the head. He was sent to the hospital in severe condition, and on July 7, 2024, it was announced that he had passed away.
After taking over the investigation, the Major Crimes Unit of the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office concluded that Jair Navarro, 21, was the one who had shot his father. A criminal warrant was obtained by detectives for murder.
Jair Navarro was located and taken into custody by the U.S. Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force on July 12, 2024, in the El Paso County, Texas, on the 11600 block of Datsun Dr. Navarro was charged with murder and his bond was set at $750,000.00.
