Arrowhead Union High School North Campus Coach Dies: Sad news on Monday morning, October 16, at approximtely 7:36 a.m., Tom Taraska, Former Arrowhead Union High School Football Coach who won the WIAA Division 1 state tournament four times in his coaching career, and was the runner-up an additional five times has died. Tom Taraska passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2023.
He was involved in a tragic car accident that left him with severe injuries to his whole body yesterday Sunday. He was later pronounced dead after being flown to a nearby hospital.

He has been coaching and inspiring adolescents to achieve greater heights since graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh as a student-athlete; he will be sorely missed.
Coach Taraska led Arrowhead to 4 state championships and 5 runner-up places while serving as a high school coach (including 4 years at Franklin) with a 265-96 record. In 2004, Taraska was admitted into the WFCA Hall of Fame.
The news of Tom Taraska’s passing is painful for everyone who knew and cared about him. He was an extremely sweet man. Everyone will miss him. Please offer a prayer for his family, who are likely going through a lot right now.
