UPDATE: The incident that took place in the 600 block of Theodore Street at approximately 1310 hours is still being investigated by the Crest Hill and Joliet police departments. Numerous bullets hit companies on Theodore Street’s north and south sides.
This investigation into the shooting is still ongoing. Aassistance from the locals in calling and pointing out the suspects’ hiding places is appreciated by the The Crest Hill Police.
What Happened
When police swiftly arrived on the site, they discovered no one had been shot. A suspect who was hiding in the vicinity was found by CHPD officers, and he is presently being held for interrogation.
The Crest Hill Police are looking for a handgun used in the shooting and believed one of suspects dropped it in the area. If you locate the firearm, please do not touch it and contact Crest Hill PD immediately.
