Siphiwe Mkhonza Passed Away - Cause Of Death

Siphiwe Mkhonza, a legend of the Kaizer Chiefs who was a football expert and television analyst, has died. On Tuesday, March 5, 2024, the 44-year-old passed away due to complications from a kidney infection after being admitted to the hospital and then released.

What Happened To Siphiwe Mkhonza

Mkhonza, who is referred to as “Dr Mnandi” by his present company, SABC, has had a kidney infection for a considerable amount of time. A month ago, he was admitted to Charlotte Maxeke and, upon exhibiting indications of improvement, was released.

Mkhonza’s girlfriend and the mother of his three children were taking care of him at the time of his death.

Kaizer Chiefs are extremely grieved to hear of Siphiwe Mkhonza’s premature death. “Dr. Mnandi” served the Club with distinction. As one of us, the entire Kaizer Chiefs family mourns with his loved ones. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Mkhonza was a born leader, someone who could mentor young people, and someone who was beneficial to the group as a whole.
In honoring the late Siphiwe Mkhonza, former general manager of AmaZulu FC Lunga Sokhela said that he was a “natural leader” at Usuthu.

My sympathies go out to the Mkhonza family and the whole football community. I hope his soul is at peace.
