A really pleasant person and an amazing drummer. Brit was the drummer and co-founder of the country rock group Blackberry Smoke, based in Atlanta. One of the real gentlemen of rock ‘n’ roll, he never failed to bring the thunder to every performance he did.

The band confirmed that Brit had passed away following a fight with cancer. Since the fall of 2022, he has been fighting glioblastoma every day till the last end.
If you had any kind of relationship with Brit, you knew he was the most kind, compassionate, driven, and charming person you could ever meet.
He served as Blackberry Smoke’s compass and True North, establishing the philosophy that will continue to direct this group.
