Joe Shannon Chef Cause Of Death: The 58-year-old TV chef Joe Shannon, who co-hosted a two-hour radio show on Ocean FM with Georgie Gorman and was a regular on Ireland AM, was revealed to have died on March 4, 2024, following a protracted and valiant fight against sickness.

On Monday, Joe passed away quietly in his beloved County Sligo, under the tender care of the professionals at North West Hospice. He was surrounded by his family.

His wife Marie, kids Orla, Emer, and Joseph, brother Michael, and sisters Elizabeth, Bernadette, and Dolores are all receiving our condolences. Along with his grandchildren Leroy and Lewis, his sons-in-law Seán Gilligan and John Divers, as well as other friends, neighbors, and family, will all remember him.

Who Is Joe Shannon

Joe was a chef, entertainer, husband, and father who undoubtedly lived life to the fullest. In March 2021, bowel cancer was identified as his illness.

an inspiration to a great number of people. Joe was a man full of courage, dignity, and vitality.

He had a remarkable outlook on life, frequently appeared in pantomimes, and made legendary contributions to Ireland AM and Ocean FM that covered a wide range of topics beyond just cuisine.

Everyone loved the impact Joe made on the Ocean FM crew since he joined them in 2023, one year before Gis passed away.

Even on the days when his health problems were doing their best to pull him down, Joe bounced into the studio full of fun, grins, and devilment, serving as a reminder to take each day as it comes in a world where the little concerns of life can feel overwhelming at times.

He will be sorely missed.
