Cola died on Sunday, March 17, 2024. The news was confirmed through a post that was posted on Facebook by his father Joseph Urango on Sunday at approximately 20:35 p.m.
Throughout his life, Matthew followed his own set of rules. He performed all around the world in numerous nations. Everyone in the world is aware of his music. Cola led the charge for musical disability rights. He was an intense activist. His song was Lollapalooza. He wrote these upbeat disco love tunes specifically for Oxnard.
He had the melody of an ancient legend and the soul of a man without age. Every aspect of his music—lyrics, melodies, voice quality—was distinctive and ageless.
Matthew Urango identified as Afro-Latino and claimed heritage from the Chumash, African Americans, and Mexicans.
