As of Wednesday, April 10, there has been confirmation that the 35-year-old Caucasian guy, that has brown eyes, black hair, and a dark beard, Jacob Riggs, who was last seen in Maynardville, Tennessee, on April 7, has been found alive.
The National Park Service reports that on Wednesday, April 10, at around eight in the morning, a park visitor saw that he needed assistance and discovered him near Tremont.
Riggs was taken by the visitor to the Incident Command Post located close to the Townsend Wye. Riggs was exposed to the outdoors and suffered minor injuries. After an on-site evaluation, he was brought to a nearby hospital.
The National Park Service received assistance from a number of groups in its hunt for Jacob, and it is grateful to all of the volunteer organizations and local authorities that took part.
